This year during the extended Memorial Day Weekend, the MBCPAAA will be the sole provider of food for ALL Law Enforcement helping to keep our City safe. This includes the MBPD of approx. 300 officers + approx. 250-300 officers from outside of the City.
Our primary location will be the Myrtle Beach Train Depot with the Regency Towers as offering some foods, drinks, and a place to take a break.
At the Train Depot, we have three shifts:
breakfast shift: 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. (breakfast served from 7 a.m.-9 a.m.)
lunch shift: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (lunch served from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
dinner shift: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. (dinner served from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.)
Ideally we'd like up to 5 volunteers each shift in the dining area. MBCPAAA members, spouses, and family members are welcome to sign-up for shifts Interested others (not members of our Association) and those needing community service hours (Boy Scouts, HS students) need to contact Barbara to be placed on the schedule. [email protected]
The Regency Towers will be open around the clock and will be "manned" as often as possible. Shifts to start at 6 a.m. with up to 3 volunteers/shift. Again, please contact Barbara to be placed on the schedule. [email protected]
We ask to allow the officers to eat in peace. Our volunteers should eat prior to their shift or after their shift -- not sitting w/the officers. This is their time - besides, we'll be too busy!
If you belong to a church group or other group that would like to contribute, we are accepting monetary donations in addition to prepared foods. One year, Wellspring Church donated 100 boxed lunches from Firehouse Subs. This was a huge help and a much appreciated contribution. Another year, Christ United provided a ton of home-made goodies & pulled pork. If the donation is something edible, please clear it with us in order to aid in planning our menu. Baked goods, such as cookies, brownies, etc are always accepted & appreciated.
If you have questions or need further information, please use our main email: [email protected]
