Incident Support Canteen
This concept has been revitalized by some new members of the MBCPAAA in light of recent local and national incidents. After presenting the idea to the MBPD Chief, and receiving his support and blessing, the MBCPAAA is going forward with baby steps to help "Support the MBPD" in what we believe is another critical aspect.
Our officers are involved in incidents and investigations which extend over many hours and sometimes days. These incidents may include, but not limited to: searching for a missing swimmer, recovery of a drowning victim, search for a missing person (alzheimer's, or other mentally challenged person; small child who has wandered away), accident investigation, shooting investigation, DUI/DWI checkpoints, hostage situations, parades, community service activities, etc.
Our Canteen will provide hot & cold drinks, snacks, blankets for warmth in cold weather, a tent for shade in hot weather, chairs for respite, and hopefully sandwiches and other food donations from local businesses.

Only one vehicle can be driven to an emergency with up to four volunteers. At present, the participating vehicle will be identified with two door magnets.
Emergency situations don't happen at our convenience. Volunteers may be called at anytime during a 24-hour period.

For safety purposes, all volunteers will have to wear our MBCPAAA safety vest over their MBCPAAA shirt or coat, depending upon the weather.
If this looks like something you can commit to and you can volunteer at a moment's notice, contact us and you will be added to the list.
